This page explains how Darija Translator handles data for translation, history, accounts, subscriptions, and support. For the learning app, use the separate Darija Lingo Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Darija Translator, including the mobile app and the Translator landing pages. Darija Translator is a separate product from Darija Lingo, with separate accounts, subscriptions, and translation usage data.

2. Information you provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, such as your email address, password credentials, support messages, translation text, voice input transcripts, and account preferences.

3. Translation text and voice input

When you translate, the text you type or the transcript created from your voice input is sent to our backend so we can return a Darija translation. Voice recordings are used to create the transcript and support the requested translation experience.

4. Accounts and authentication

You can use the app as a guest for limited translation. If you create an account, we store account information so you can sign in, sync eligible history, manage premium access, and recover access where supported.

5. Translation history and local cache

Guest history may be stored locally on your device. Signed-in history may be stored on our backend and mirrored locally for a smoother experience. You can delete history from the app where the feature is available.

6. Subscriptions and purchases

Premium subscriptions are handled by the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We receive subscription status and entitlement information so the app can unlock premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

7. Service providers

We use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, subscription validation, and translation processing. These providers process data only as needed to run and improve Darija Translator.

8. Analytics and diagnostics

We may collect app usage events, device diagnostics, crash reports, and performance data to understand what works, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve translation quality.

9. Credits and abuse prevention

We track guest and account-based credit usage so we can enforce credit balances, protect the service from abuse, and keep premium access working correctly.

10. Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described here, legal requirements, security, backups, and product operation. Some local data may remain on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. You can contact us to request help with privacy rights or account deletion.

12. Children

Darija Translator is not intended for children under the age required by local law to use online services without parental consent. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can review it.
