Terms of Service

By using this application, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you ("user") and Darija Lingo ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Darija Lingo mobile app, web admin, or any related service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and that you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.

License & Permitted Use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Darija Lingo for non-commercial language learning. You may not: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code; (b) copy or redistribute lessons, audio, stories, or other content; (c) use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the service; (d) circumvent any security mechanism, premium gate, or authentication step; (e) use the service to harass other users or post unlawful content.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and any third-party login credentials (Apple, Google) you connect. Notify us at darijalingo@gmail.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits or share your account with others.

Intellectual Property

All content in the app — lessons, dialogues, recorded audio, illustrations, the Darija Lingo name, logo, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you no rights other than the limited licence above. User-generated content (your username, bio, profile picture) remains yours; by submitting it you grant us a worldwide non-exclusive licence to display it inside the service.

Subscriptions & Billing

Darija Lingo offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("Premium"). Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription auto-renews at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage and cancel subscriptions in the App Store or Play Store account settings — not within the Darija Lingo app and not by contacting us. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

Promotions

Darija Lingo may offer free content, discounts, or promotional access from time to time. Promotional offers are subject to the additional terms shown at the time of redemption, and we reserve the right to modify or end a promotion at any time.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time by deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, infringe intellectual property rights, or use the service to harass others. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period; that is governed by Apple's and Google's store policies.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that pronunciation feedback will be 100% accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Darija Lingo, its officers, contractors, and licensors from any claim, demand, or damage arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be brought before the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco. EU/EEA consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence as required by local consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when laws change or when we add new features. Material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms; if you disagree, stop using the service before the effective date.
